My Thoughts on having "Perfect" Social Media Post's

Over the last few weeks I've came across so many different posts and tweets about how we all want to be like others and how we aim to live that so called "perfect Instagram life" and I don't think this could be any truer, however, it is our fault, we brainwash ourselves sometimes we our the only people that can change our lives so why are we feeling sorry for ourselves, I say we because I myself am one of those people, I follow hundreds of different people on all kinds of social media platforms because I enjoy seeing what they have to post but remember no one is forcing me to follow them I make that decision, so what gives me the right to sit and compare myself to them and feel sorry for myself. If the page is only going to make me hate myself why would I even waste my time following them, we choose how we view ourselves we choose everything, we are the ones in control.

Instagram and other social medias are amazing apps they allow people to show various fractions of their days but remember people choose what they want to post and what they want to post will more than likely be something positive that has happened to them or maybe it was a good makeup day who knows but they do it because they feel good about themselves and they want to share those happy moments so that they can look back and reminisce on the days at the park or the days they had that perfect insta ice-cream or the days they felt they felt comfortable and happy with how they looked, we only share what we want to share so why should you go out of your way to create the perfect picture, tweet or video, post what you want because that's what everyone else seems to be doing, who cares if you have one follower or a million as long as you are happy with your own content then no one else should even come into consideration before you hit that publish button.

I am a 17 year old and sure I don't have much life experience yet but overtime I've learnt to not judge anyone, not even people that you think are close to you, everyone has their secrets, everyone has problems, everyone has challenges that they are facing on a daily basis, its important to remember that you do not know everything, even if you think you do. Learning this was one of the best things that could have ever happened to me because it allowed me to rethink how I evaluate people and also how I see myself, comparing others instagrams to my own made me feel like crap but the sooner I realised that I'm only seeing one picture out of a 24 hour day my brain began to work differently, so should yours.

If everyone was the same the world would be pretty dam boring, so post whatever the hell you want good or bad there is no such thing as perfection as long as you are happy then nothing else matters.
